After finding out the warranty period of my laptop has expired, i was given a quote of RM1520.00 to extend 1 year warranty period and get to change my problematic LCD and motherboard for free. I decided to put on hold the extended warranty since the LCD seems working well at this moment. Instead, i purchased the 9-cell battery.
When the courier svc called to notify me of the delivery, he has also mentioned to collect back the old battery which I refused to surrender. I have told him that this is a purchased item and not replacement unit so i do not see why i should surrender my old unit.
I was surprised when i saw 5 cartons delivered to my office. There were 2 batteries, 1 LCD, 1 Motherboard and 1 small cable when i haved placed order for just 1 battery. The DO has a para that states :
The original defective part from yr system must be returned to XXX within 10 business days from the delivery date of the replacement part. If the defective part is not returned to Dell within this period, an invoice will be issued accordingly for the values of the part at XXX current price.
Now with this para, can i assume it is a replacement part delivered to me if i return the original. I am so tempted to accept it if it is FOC but will there be any complications if this XXX claims from me RM1520.00 when they find out. I know my LCD will breakdown at anytime but to pay so much to replace, i would rather buy a new unit.
Haih..Contacted the Sales Person this morning but she was not at work and i have left a msg for her to return my call.
It's Not Me!! I cannot keep it for myself knowing I have not paid for it... and I'm glad i have made the decision to return the goods.

Life has to carry on... R.I.P.
It was so sad to hear from my daughter that her classmate she knew for just 5 months since joining this private school had passed away on Sunday. She was just chatting with her on Friday and now she is gone forever.
She collapsed on Sunday while having dinner with family members. According to my daughter, this young lady was quite weak since June with her poor attendance to school. It was just last week that she had to be in KL to check on her heart. She was borned with a hole in her heart with complications, i guess.
My heart is still aching when i think of this young lady. My girl told me, God loves her more. I replied to my girl, as though human does not love her? I may be wrong in my reply but I just can't help it as i can feel the sadness of her family members to lose a child.
Finally, I am glad that my daughter now realize that we have to treasure and cherish the people around us before you lose them.
May this friend of my daughter R.I.P.

Day Well Spent....
Had a quick breakfast of Hokkien Mee & 3pcs of Siew Mei bought by LE from Bayan Lepas. Thanks ...it was tasty.
Six of us had our massage at The Heritage and i chose Massuer No. 6 instead of the usual No. 5 since Grace wanted her. Rating : No. 5 is still a better choice. LE maintained to have Massuer No. 7. Left Heritage at 1.15pm with Meg and met up with Tina & GH at Padang.
Good lunch with variety of food to 'how kor' with the tum chiak po-s. After lunch it was Karaoke Session and we met Sandie & Sally at The Oriental KTV.
We had so much fun, singing, joking, dancing, acting inside the big spacious room. BE came later. Sally knew someone there and for that reason we were given extended time from 2 till 9pm instead of 6pm at now extra cost.
Mana boleh sing till 9pm? LE, Gaik Lan & Carole left us past 6pm while we continued with our fun. Got the waiter to help us with Hokkien song but all of us including our pro singer Sandie was like...arhh arhhha....and had to give up the song. Session ended at 7.30pm and adjourned to Aroi Thai Restaurant at Pulau Tikus. Rating - V.G Tom Yam, 3 kind of seasoning Fish & the veg. No No for Belachan Rice.
From 11am till 9.30pm, it cost me merely RM37.00 only. Tuck Kha Beh Si.....
Reached home past 10pm and after bathing it was Mahjong Session with Bee Cheng & my sister in law until 12.30pm - Won RM16.00

~ All Well Ends Well ~
On 4th Aug i offered to send my daughter to the airport. Joe asked if i could pick up Fion (i.e. Lucas gf) from Tambun and given the time at 2pm to reach her house. I did not quite like the pick up time but Joe said Fion cannot made it any earlier. Was wondering why she still has to work on the day of travelling and why she did not plan to drop by directly to my house since she was working in SP? No idea how they communicated and how they plan.
Rachel had to go for a hair cut at 11am and finished at 1pm while Joe has to go to Penang to run an errand in the same morning. Somehow i just cannot accept why youngsters love such last minute arrangement. Not to mention Joe had decided to travel to my house the previous night leaving his house past 11pm and arriving past 1am. If only he had listened to my advise to come over to my house after work on the previous day of travelling.
The minute i received the sms from Rachel that she has passed Carrefour, i left my office. When i reached home i was told Rachel could not find her I.C. and she was very unhappy and restless in the car. Calling my mom & her brother to check again in her room & her car respectively and yet could not be found. She was worried she will not allow to check in from her flight from Pg - KL. Thanks to Eddie (Angie's hubby who is the AA airport Mgr in LCCT) when he gave the assurance of no issue at all using passport to check in. When we were heading towards Tambun, Joe realized he had left behind his camera in my house...Gotta turn back after picking up Fion.
Next.....while on the way to pick Fion i was taken aback why Joe has to call Lucas the road direction to her house when i thought both Rachel & Joe already knows the way if not why offer to pick her, why pick her up so late. Do they know that Pg Bridge can be jammed with just a small accident or if it rains? Sigh.... When we reached the 4th road, Lucas was called to ask for the house number?? Haiahhhhh...I was in good mood and was telling myself...hold on don't get mad with them for the sake of Rachel as she was still upset with her missing I.C.
I honked once when i reached her house and honked the 2nd time after about 2 mins when Rachel told me not to honk further. We were wondering why Fion did not response as to opening the door or acknowledged our arrival. When it was at 2.15pm Joe called her and Goodness Gracious...she did not know we were waiting outside!!!!!
Driving abv the speed limit, collected Joe's camera and off to Pg. Thk God there was no traffic jam and we reached the airport 20minutes early before AA closed their counters.
Arriving 20minutes early and that is with speeding and no jam on the bridge...Haih. Finally, All Well Ends Well!!! Rachel is now in HK and has just sms to inform me there's no thypoon in Honkong and going to Disneyland.
Enjoy yourself but pls pls improve your plannning...same goes for Joe!!!

Twitching below Right eye
What is happening to me? The twitching below my rt eye is so irritating. Already for 1 week and it is not getting better.
Sigh...Even my colleague can see the jittering on my rt eye when i was talking to him today. Sad ..sad..
Wonder which Dr could help me. It's my nervous system. Yesterday while using the mouse i could feel my right hand weak and decided not to overstrain further.
Mom was supersitious about it and a colleague said i should expect to meet a longtime friend or will be crying.
I believe in none of the above as i know it is my NERVOUS system. Will see how long it will take to STOP.

New appointed Lorry Transporter
Helping the company to send a cargo to a lorry nearby has granted me a chance to know one lorry transporter today.
I was glad i made the delivery to the lorry and got the contact number. Met him today and he has given me a very good rate than my existing transporter. I have immediately appointed his company for my weekly delivery to Penang. Good reason for me to switch transporter when the current economy needs trimming costs.
A man in his early fifties, we chatted and realized he knew someone of very high position from Precico as well. Though this is our 1st meeting, he has given very good contacts for my recycle cartons and contacted one raw material supplier.
A great day indeed knowing this so called 'Ah Lai'. He makes my day!!!

Not an Ordinary Friday [June 5th]
This Friday, is not like any ordinary fridays but a day for the 1st time i have to go on NO PAY LEAVE.
To make my day worthwhile, i started my day as early as 8.30am sending our pet poodle to Dr Gill's vet clinic to spay the puppy. Went for a good breakfast and tasted curry mee, hor fun, yam cake (Or kueh), pan cake with banana, popiah and a cup of nescafe. Was indeed a satisfying breakfast. Took mom to the 2 markets and wanted to visit my godmother but she was not in. Left her place and visited my mother in law.
Was really in the mood to make full use of the day, i got myself changed and started with gardening at home. Cutting & removing dried leaves of my ginger plant, did some transferring & arranging of pots and top up the soil for all the pots. Next, i bathe my 2 dogs & the little puppy. Brush the wall, scrub the porch and finally wash up all the floor mats & dog's towel..
Wow... that is a real long list of chores did in a day. My son was as surprised and asked why I was so hardworking. When i related to my 2nd daughter, she said she is 'kam tong' at the volume of work i did for the day. They are as surprised her mom can do so much in a day when all along i have been like a real Queen at home. To be served and don't do a thing at home.
I feel great and hopefully i could continue doing the same...Let's seee....

Picnic - Batu Ferringhi
The last time i went to Batu Ferringhi was like 10 years ago or more. Today being Agong's Birthday, we went in 3 cars. It was nice of Joe (my daughter's bf) to drive all the way here from Lumut to join us.
Could not sleep later than 6.30am as i have to bring my mom to the market. We had curry chicken with bread, fried bee hoon, some kuih-muih and pineapple. While Imm sis brought along dragon fruit and guava. We chose a place where car can be driven to almost near the beachside so that the 2 old folks don't have to walk too far.
Found a cosy and shady place under a big tree, we lay our mats and first thing we did was to take our breakfast. Sea current was quite rough and had no intention to get wet anyway. My son, daughter & 2 nieces got a chance to soak awhile and the rest of us were seated and chatting. Mom, Mother in law & sister were gambling, playing the card game "fishing". Mom was the only loser.
We spent about 3 hours at the beach before we call it a day. Sue was not feeling too good otherwise we would have adjourn to Balik Pulau for Laksa.
I don't mind to have another picnic but not on a SUNNY DAY...it was too sunny to enjoy. Maybe evening picnic may be better.

~Happy Go Lucky~
Proposal accepted for compulsory no pay leave of every 2 days per month...sigh. I hope this will not be too long as i already find MONEY NOT ENOUGH to use every month.
How do i cut down my personal expenditure? My fixed expenses are such as pocket money for mom, godparents, hdph bills for myself, my 2nd daughter & my sister, electricity bill (sweat...can be RM413.00 in April 09), 3 insurance policies, car hire purchase, car petrol, daily 'how koring', daughter's piano lesson. Thank God her French class has to stop for the meantime.
If i compare with someone who is jobless, less take home pay, has financial burden, I am still consider as being fortunate.
Finally, i have decided not to think about the pay cut and carry on as the Happy Go Lucky woman on earth.
